But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. (Psalm 1:2-3)
In recent days, we’ve experienced many “delightful” things in our lives stripped away. Activities, events, trips, vacations, money and for some of us, our jobs. Yet, we still have a treasure that’s with us, God’s Word. During this coronavirus pandemic, let’s ask Jesus to foster in us a ferocious delight in Him through His word. We will be like trees rooted near and nourished by life-giving water producing fresh fruit that endures even pandemics. Let us together receive daily this precious gift of God’s Word!
