READ PSALM 38

For I am ready to fall, and my pain is ever before me. (Psalm 38:17)

David was in excruciating physical and emotional pain, which he associated with his sin (v3-4). Instead of hiding his sin or excusing it, he brought it to God, who alone could forgive him (v18). David’s prayer instructs us that we can come to God being open about how we feel. Perhaps as the days have gone by you have found yourself hiding from God. Or just busying yourself rather than coming to Him openly about your current struggles.  Because of Jesus, we can come confidently to God sharing how we feel and confessing our need for forgiveness. He will not shun us or throw us away, but He has fully received us as His child through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Don’t miss out on this precious experience!
