For he has delivered me from every trouble, and my eye has looked in triumph on my enemies. (Psalm 54:7)

God does not promise a trouble-free life for His people. In fact, followers of  Jesus will experience trouble for their faith. Also, living in a broken world ensures that trouble will come our way at different points in our lives. The good news is we are not identified by our troubles and failures in our lives. Since our lives are hidden with Christ we are identified as victors because Christ has conquered sin and death (Romans 8:27).

What this means is ultimately we face every hardship including this pandemic and its effects knowing that no matter how tough it gets everything is going to work out for His people. We can even face death knowing that God delivers us in it, and will bring us safely into His eternal kingdom (2 Timothy 4:18). This future truth frees us to live with joy and hope in this present life. The best is yet to come!
