From the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. (Psalm 61:2)
No matter how far your seem or feel from God, you can call out to him. “The end of the earth” is the furthest parts of the earth, where a person may be. Remember the younger brother in the story that Jesus told. He was living life among the pigs, yet it was in that place of need and humility that he decided to turn back to the Father.
Hardships have a way of unmasking our need for God. It makes us realize that we are ultimately not in control over our circumstances. We need a more stable rock to trust (v3). That rock is Jesus. If He was able to take care of your sin problem by taking the full punishment on the cross for your sins, He is fully capable to see you through any circumstance that comes your way. So no matter how faint your heart is, call to your Savior.
