Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from dread of the enemy. (Psalm 64:1)
God wants to hear your voice. He desires for you to bring your cares and concerns to Him. The first verse of this psalm begins with the psalmist opening up his heart to God. The Psalmist is pursed by enemies, who seek his life.
At times we may not come open before the Lord because we are fearful of Him or are unsure if He cares about our individual needs. Or we maybe feel like all hope is lost, so what is the point of going God since nothing will change? The Good News is even when we were unable to come to Jesus because of our fallenness, He can to us. He left heaven and lived on earth to lay down His life on the cross so that at any time and for any reason we can come to the Father.
He defeated our greatest enemy sin and death, and in response we can share with others what He has done for us (v9). Reflect on the redeeming work of Jesus today, thanking Him for adopting you into His family forever. Then ask the Holy Spirit to empower you to share the Gospel with others.
