READ PSALM 70

Make haste, O God, to deliver me! O Lord, make haste to help me! (Psalm 70:1)

This psalm reminds us that God is in control over when He answers prayers, and He cares about responding at just the right time. Jesus came to earth neither too early nor too late but at just the right time (Galatians 4:4). When we ask for God to respond quickly, be encouraged that God will respond in His perfect time and His perfect way. Be grateful that He uses our urgent requests as a means to do His work on the earth. Let His rulership over timetables embolden you to live courageously today.

Whether that’s deliverance from the effects of COVID-19, justice for all who have been oppressed and dehumanized or a Gospel-peace for our country, we continue to pray, “Your kingdom come” because at the return of Christ, all sickness will be done away, all justice will be fully realized and the peace of God will permeate the world through the reign of Christ. With this certain expectation, continue to do justice, love kindness and walk humbly before God (Micah 6:8)
